The German-Taiwanese Student Exchange Society (GTSES, 台德交流友會, Deutsch-Taiwanischer Studierendenaustausch Klub) is a youth-led platform dedicated to fostering academic, cultural, and professional exchange between German-speaking countries and Taiwan. Through events, dialogue, and collaboration, we connect students, institutions, and professionals with a shared interest in Taiwan–DACH (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) relations.
At the core of GTSES are our Academic Affairs and Event Planning Team. Through curated lectures, panel discussions, and institutional engagements, our Academic Affairs Team brings together insights from universities, think tanks, industry, and representative offices in Taiwan. Complementing this, our Event Planning Team organises and hosts student gatherings centered on Taiwanese and DACH cultures—including festivals, culinary workshops, and cultural excursions—that enable networking, and community building.
We welcome students from all disciplines, as well as young professionals and other youth organisations interested in contributing to and benefiting from this exchange. As a growing community, we are committed to building a platform that helps foster long-term collaboration between Taiwan and the DACH region.
Four specialised teams driving our mission forward — from events and education to outreach and administration.
The Academic Affairs Team organises lectures, seminars, and delegation visits to facilitate meaningful dialogue and academic exchange. As the society’s academic branch, it delivers informative and insightful events while supporting Taiwan–DACH academic engagement.
The Event Planning Team organises cultural exchange activities focused on Taiwan and the DACH region, including workshops, excursions, and social outings. It plans and executes engaging events that foster interaction and connection among members, while ensuring smooth coordination and delivery.
The Secretarial Team coordinates administrative affairs, liaises with the society’s advisors, and ensures smooth internal operations. It supports daily management and serves as a communication bridge between officers and members, with finance and human resources functions integrated within the team.
The Fundraising Team is responsible for developing partnerships and securing resources to support the society’s initiatives. It liaises with external partners and sponsors, coordinates collaboration opportunities, and ensures sustainable support for the society’s events and projects.
